Hugo – A Critical (and Ultimately Positive) Review
By: Quincy K.
Hugo:
Initially when I saw the previews, I was just not into Hugo. Especially during Christmas season, I get tired of watching movies about waifish children who have magical adventures under the noses of severe adults. But when I got dragged to the theater with my family, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the storytelling, and the imagery on-screen. I would not hesitate to recommend this movie to families, or just anybody who likes a good tale. Martin Scorsese has stated that he made this movie so his daughter could watch it, and I would congratulate him on a job well done.
